This position requires professionalism, organization, and excellent communication skills. These captains must have a general knowledge of developing applications framework and storyboarding. This captain will work closely with the Administrative Assistant, as well as the Alumni Association, to create new events and initiatives that will further engage students and alumni. The top vote getters become king and/or queen, and the rest of the court is selected in descending order. This Captain must be very organized, be able to respond to e-mails adequately, proficient with Excel (or other spreadsheet software), strong communication skills, and adaptable. This captain will be in charge of working with the Alumni Association to promote alumni recognition beyond just Homecoming Week. Court Relations is one of 14 Captain committees within Penn State Homecoming. This year he serves as an OPPerations Captain. They will work with the ICL’s of the other committees across homecoming to coordinate efforts and create efficiency throughout the organization, as well as managing outreach for the committee. They will communicate confirmation, check-in, and reminders throughout the year. Sarah is a Senior from Pittsburgh, PA majoring in Accounting with a focus in Data Analytics. Her favorite part of Homecoming is seeing those from Penn State’s past, present, and future come together to share their love and pride for Penn State. It's a time to celebrate your school spirit, make new friends and see the return of alumni from years past. They will be responsible for creating the timeline for pickup and return of all items for each Homecoming event. The ICL will serve as the primary Sustainability Ambassador for their committee and will be responsible for educating their Committee on Homecoming’s Sustainability efforts and mission each week. The focus of Legacy Celebration is to celebrate the new Homecoming Logo with the Penn State Community and signify that Homecoming is a year-long celebration. She served as the Alumni Court Captain for Homecoming 2019 and her favorite thing about Homecoming is meeting amazing students and alumni with all different backgrounds, but a shared love for Penn State. This captain will work closely with Public Relations. In addition to our annual Day of Service, this Captain will coordinate Homecoming Blood Drives and communicate with multiple outside organizations to find additional ways for Homecoming’s volunteers and our competitors to get involved in community service.
