He was a good and steadfast friend, always willing to lend a hand and get together, no matter how long the time in between.

Mr. Irwin was predeceased by his children, Eugene Michael Irwin and Rebecca Irwin Green, and his brothers, John J. Irwin, George E. Irwin. Mr. Irwin was shot in the line of duty and was unable to carry out his duties as a police officer. After Mr. Irwin graduated from Bishop England High School, he enlisted into the US Marine Corps.
