It gives us the instructions, the map to get where we want to go. "nunc fluent", the passing moment, whereas the "Now" (intentionally capitalized here) Tolle is referring to is "nunc eternal", the "moment" beyond time and space. My summary won’t do it justice but it may help you understand what the book is about, so here is my take (so far).

I have just listened to first two chapters of “The Power of Now” / I must say that I expected some good book which will boost my productivity and make ME better , smarter and more organized.

All I can say is that The Power of Now has helped me feel better on several occasions during multiple stages of my life.
