Millman is far from being annoying, distracting or any other qualities of a poor narrator.I took scratch notes as I worked through this book.

Other times, i felt that it was a relatively short time, but it turned out that it was several weeks, like for instance, when the protagonist breaks his ankle.

For three decades Dan Millman - author of Way of the Peaceful Warrior - has included stories and anecdotes in his numerous books. The ending gets a little too fantastical (meeting Soc in the middle of the woods; the random college girl in Ohio just-so-happens to be his future wife), but it's a story so you have to wrap the plot up somehow.

I was so looking forward to reading this given it's rave reviews; maybe I've missed something but I didn't get past the first few chapters.

The subtitle "A Book That Changes Lives," is true. Further, the story involves a lot of discussions between the protagonist and his spiritual guide, but the actual text in the book covers, what to my perception, is a very small sample of the discussions.
